Dreamvara | The Journey Begins
My journey with Dreamvara Silk pillowcase and eye mask started back in December 2023. I was on a mission to find the perfect Christmas gift for my lady—something special that she would treasure for years. I didn’t want to give her another piece of jewellery or something that would just sit on a shelf.
Thinking back to our early dates, I remembered those fun questions we’d ask each other to learn what we liked. She always mentioned her love for pearls and silk. She’d say, “Diamonds are nice, but if you really want to make me happy? Pearls and silk!”
Over time, I noticed her closet was filled with silk items. It’s like a whole collection! Curious, I decided to explore silk products myself. But honestly, as a guy, it’s tough to tell the difference between silk, satin, and cotton. They all look pretty similar! So, I had to dig a little deeper to understand what makes silk so special.
I learned that silk has a fascinating history, going back to ancient China. But I was more interested in how it could benefit my lady today. She loves her beauty sleep, but often complained about waking up with frizzy hair and knots. While I could get up, wash my face, and head out, her mornings were a whole other story. That’s when it hit me—a quality silk pillowcase could solve that problem while being a thoughtful gift.
Now, here’s where it gets tricky. How do you know what’s high-quality silk and what’s just a cheap knockoff? With so many options out there, it’s hard to know who to trust. I wanted to make sure my gift was truly special.
As I shopped for silk pillowcases, I was shocked by the price ranges. Determined to find the best, I ordered a few products to try out. Honestly? Many of them didn’t impress me. They claimed to be silk, but the feel just wasn’t there. It really showed me that not all silk is created equal.
Here’s what I learned about high-quality silk:
- Mulberry Silk: This is the best type, made from silkworms that eat mulberry leaves. Their diet affects the quality of the silk.
- Momme (mm): A Japanese term that measures how dense the silk is. It ranges from 1 to 30: 19 is the common one and 22 is already of an excellent quality.
- Finishing/Grade: This tells you how refined the silk is.
- Grades range from A to C, with A being the highest.
- 6A is the top tier.
In short, a good silk pillowcase should have a momme count of 19-25 and be at least A grade. If it doesn’t have that combination, you can feel it right away.
While I didn’t find the perfect gift back then, I learned a lot about the benefits of quality silk for hair and skin. That’s how I found Dreamvara products. Here, luxury meets quality. Our silk is pure Mulberry, with a momme count between 19 and 25, and always a top-notch 6A grade.
Now, I can confidently give my lady something luxurious that not only speaks to her love for silk but also helps with her hair problems.
In the end, this journey taught me that the best gifts come from the heart and show that you really understand someone.
